Based in Port Adelaide and servicing all areas of Western, Northern and Southern suburbs, our practice brings together expertise, genuine empathy, and steadfast commitment to client-centred legal service. Together, the team at JH Lawyers offer clients a powerful combination of decades-long experience, tailored legal insight, and compassionate service.
Our founder, Julie Height spent nearly 3 years sailing throughout Australia, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia during 2021 to 2023 while providing remote law service to clients back in Australia. Upon returning to land in October 2023, Julie launched JH Lawyers in the Port and serves the local community and beyond with skill and compassion.

Principal Lawyer / Director
Julie Height, the founder of JH Lawyers, began her legal career in 1992 as a law clerk and was admitted to practice in 2002. With over 32 years of experience in the legal field—including more than two decades rising through the ranks at larger firms—Julie launched her own practice to shift the focus from billable hours to what truly matters: serving clients with care and clarity. Driven by empathy and a calm approach to sensitive matters of life, death, and legacy, Julie is known for delivering efficient, cost effective solutions with no added stress—even while providing remote legal services during her three-year sailing journey across Australia and Southeast Asia (2021–2023).
Amalia Addabbo
Special Counsel
Amalia Addabbo joined the team in October 2024 after over 15 years in a major South
Australian law firm and time at a boutique commercial practice. She brings a wealth of experience in commercial and business transactions, negotiations, estate planning, and dispute resolution. Known for building strong client relationships, Amalia takes a personalized interest in each client’s business and life goals. She holds a double degree in Commerce and Law from Flinders University, was admitted to practice in 2001, and is actively involved in the Law Society of South Australia. Fluent in Italian, she also serves as a board member and legal advisor for a not-for-profit in the aged care sector.
Kate Fenwick
Law Clerk
Kate joined the JH Lawyers team in late 2024 as a Law Clerk after a previous career as an Advertising Producer. She is currently studying a Juris Doctor and looks forward to being admitted to practice in 2026. Kate has worked in estate law since 2021 and enjoys the personal side of Wills and Estates matters, taking the time to get to know clients’ circumstances and guide them through their planning and estate administration with care. She is highly organised and detail-focused, bringing a sense of order to what can sometimes feel overwhelming. Clients often comment on her friendly approach and sense of humour, which help make the process that little bit easier.
Tully
Paw Clerk
The introduction of our Paw Clerk, Tully is the final implementation of Julie’s nearly lifelong ambition to work in her own small-town office with a dog at her feet. Tully’s role includes (but is not limited to) instilling calm, love and a little bit of cray cray into the every day life of the team at JH Lawyers.
